Y O H T I
The "Yohti" is
a channeled technique of healing that dates way back
to fifth century Tibet. This ancient
technique was first revealed by spirit to a group of one
hundred holy men who were ready to receive the initiation
and, in time,
at least half of the men began healing and teaching in
other places. First, they went to China and India. The healers
almost always used gongs, chimes and bells. As the healers
grew confident
and began to incorporate the Yohti along with acupuncture
and herbs, etc., they also began to separate the energies
and
used
certain chants to just heal illness and disease in the
body. The Yohti was used for 9 centuries and than fell into
misuse
due to arbitrary changes through the years.
The second re-emergence of the Yohti came in the 10th century in
South Africa to a number of connected tribes. The medicine men
interpreted Yohti as a cleansing of evil from mind and body. They
learned how to also release spells and evil spirits from the body
of a sick person and they had miraculous results. They also understood
the value of sound and vibrations. The healers would chant the
words and use rattles, drums and music. Even today, in certain
tribes these practices still exist.
Russians living in a remote northern area introduced the third
resurgence of the Yohti in the 15th century. They were able to
use the techniques to learn how to prolong life. They interpreted
the Yohti as the way to alleviate pain, suffering and anguish,
and of course, the fountain of youth. The healers mainly chanted
quietly and were very secretive. Some of the people still hand
down the teaching to their students and children to this day, and
these people have lived, and still are living to the ages of 150
or more!
The fourth major resurgence came again in the 17th century
to American Indians in the southwestern part of North America.
They
were known
as the Creek Tribe. They interpreted the Yohti as "Happy Body,
Happy Heart". They were very adept healers, and some became
Chiefs due to their expertise in healing. The healer was greatly
prized and revered in those tribes, and more women were admitted
in-to the "circle of learning" amongst the Creeks
than in all the ages before. The native healers were called
medicine
men or shamans, and they also used drumming to reach other
planes and levels of consciousness, and taught their people
locate and
contact their spirit guides and animals for guidance and
protection. They used tobacco, sage, incense and many plants
and natural
remedies to cleanse themselves and their auras, and thought
the communication
with their ancestors, the animals, the sun, moon, stars and
especially Mother Earth was sacred, and a natural way of
life, and a lack
of connection with that sacred way of living and thinking
led to disease. Today, the interest in the people and their
culture
is
stronger than ever before, and some of the Creek Indians
still practice the Yohti, especially in Oklahoma.
The Yohti, in the past, has also been a strong form of healing
in Australia, especially with the Aborigines, and all over Europe.
As many practiced in secret, the information sometimes died out
along with the holy men and women. Because it is channeled and
stored in the library or Akashic Records, when the tune has been
right, the r information was and still is passed to the right people
at the right time. Many generations had and still have the information
passed to them through their DNA, as well. Today, in America there
are a handful of Yohti practitioners who have blended their own
special information and healing techniques with the Yohti. Joya
was initiated by a very powerful shaman who trained and worked
with her before he made his transition to spirit. She has a very
busy and thriving practice all over the world, and has many celebrities
who love her work.
The numerology of the Yohti adds up to number 11, a master number
that represents enlightenment, illumination and creativity. When
the Yohti was passed to Joya her teacher called her a mid-wife
of the ancient, but so new and precious information, and since
then she has done her best to spread the light to all who ask,
and to keep it alive. She also holds group sessions, individual
soul readings and cleansings, deep tissue bodywork, past-life release
work, Reiki and okiomi.
